Repairs and Services

What kind of jewelry repairs do you do?

Our industry-leading Master Goldsmiths are highly skilled in all areas including bracelet, chain, necklace, and ring repairs as well as resizings. We offer jewelry appraisals as well as custom-designed jewelry using CAD (computer aided designed) software.

What kind of watch repairs do you do?

As a Rolex Plaque Certified Service Center at our Fairfax Square location, our Master Watchmakers are approved and authorized by Rolex to perform the same repair services on your Rolex timepiece on site. We're also an Authorized Service Center for multiple fine watch brands. Whether a simple battery change, a bracelet adjustment, or a complete overhaul, we offer a wide variety of watch repair services. If a customer wishes to send her or his timepiece back to a brand directly, we will definitely accommodate that request. We do whatever makes our customers feel comfortable.

How long do repairs take?

Estimates vary depending on the service required. Timeframes commonly vary between 10 days and 3 weeks for most jewelry repair services. Watch repairs typically require 6-8 weeks after your approval.

Do I need an appointment to set up a repair?

No, appointments are not required but can be made in advance through our Fairfax Square location via our Contact page here.

Do you change batteries in watches?

Yes, we do, however only for the brands we carry! Please keep in mind that batteries are not changed on the spot. We must deliver your watch to our Master Watchmakers to be serviced.

Do I need my jewelry checked and cleaned regulary?

We do recommend having your jewelry inspected and cleaned twice per year. You may bring us your jewelry more frequently if you wish!

Do I need my watch serviced regulary?

Most watches should be serviced every 5-10 years. For best practices, you should refer to your manufactures mannual or call us with any additional questions.

Do you do jewelry appraisals?

We do jewelry appraisals, however, recommend that you call to ensure that our appraiser is available at our Fairfax Square location: (703) 749-1200.

Why should I have a jewelry appraisal done?

The prices of jewelry fluctuates from year to year and your insurance company may require annaul updates.

Do your appraisers have special training or certifications?

Yes, our appraisers have GIA certifications.

Do you sell jewelry insurance?

Yes, we do! Jeweler's Mutual is the company we recommend.

Do you clean and check jewelry?

Yes, we do! We recomment having your jewelry cleaned twice per year.


What warranties do you offer?

We proudly offer a 12 month warranty on our in-house repairs. Warranties on watch and jewelry purchases are offered by the manufacturer and vary between brand.

What is your return/exchange policy?

We realize buying a watch or piece of jewelry is a major decision for everyone. That's why we offer a 15 day return period, so you can wear the watch in the comfort of your own home to make sure you love it. The only thing we ask is that the watch is returned in mint condition. However, special orders and pieces with customized sizing are final sales.

Will I get a full refund?

You will recieve a full refund if you return your item within 15 days in its original condition.

When will I get my refund?

We will process your refund immediately. If delayed, this would be due to your bank's processing policy.

What is your shipping policy?

We can ship to most states but not Internationally.

Do you offer in-store or curbside pickup?

We offer in-store pickup.

Sizing and Fitting

How do I get my partner’s ring size without them knowing?

If you have a ring that he or she currently wears, we'll be happy to compare the styles to determine the best size.

How should I get my finger sized?

Please visit one of our stores and we'll be happy to help you.

What is the difference between comfort fit and regular?

A "comfort" fit has a rounded shape to the band whereas a "regular" fit has a flat band.

I just got my ring but it doesn't fit! What do I do?

Please visit us at our Fairfax Square store where we'll be happy resize it for you.

Do you size watches?

Yes, we size the watch brands that we carry.

Jewelry and Metals

What can I do with my old jewelry?

We're happy to redesign the piece for you.

What is rhodium plating?

Rhodium is used to plate white gold jewlery to give it a brighter, clearer shine.

Why is my silver jewelry changing colors?

Sliver may change color because of oxidation in the aptmosphere. Body oils can also contribute to color change.

How should I clean my jewelry?

We recommend you have your jewelry professionaly cleaned at Liljenquist & Beckstead.
